Overview

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made through the Flash1A Shopify store.

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Flash1A is an Australian slow fashion brand producing made-to-order merino wool garments.

What to Expect – Slow Fashion at Flash1A

Made for You, not for a Warehouse

Every Flash1A garment is knitted after you place your order.

We don’t hold mass-produced stock.

Your piece is created individually using 100% merino wool, which means:

• Less waste
• Thoughtful production
• A garment made specifically for you

 

Merino wool is a premium natural fibre.

You may notice:

• Subtle variations in texture
• A soft, breathable feel
• Natural stretch and movement
• Natural pilling over time with wear

These are features of genuine wool knitwear, not faults.

Designed to Last

Flash1A pieces are created to be:

• Worn often
• Cared for properly
• Kept for years

This is the opposite of fast fashion.

 Product Variations

Flash1A uses natural merino wool.

Due to the nature of slow fashion and knit production:

• Slight variations in texture, colour, pattern and stitch tension may occur
• These are not faults and are part of the handmade and machine-made process
• Colours may appear slightly different on screen depending on your device

 Made-to-Order Production

All Flash1A garments are knitted after an order is placed.

• Production time: 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the garment and current demand
• This timeframe is an estimate, not a guarantee
• You will receive a dispatch notification once your garment is completed and shipped

24-Hour Production Window

Production will not commence until 24 hours after your order is placed.

• You may request changes to size, colour, or order details within this 24-hour period
• After this time, production is likely to have commenced and changes may not be possible
• Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled

 Pricing

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Flash1A reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice.
The price charged will be the price displayed at the time of purchase.

Payments

We accept payments through Shopify’s approved payment methods.

Orders will not enter the production queue until payment is received in full.

Shipping & Insurance

We ship all orders via Australia Post.

Available options at checkout may include:

• Standard shipping
• Express shipping
• Optional parcel insurance 

 Shipping Timeframes 

·        Shipping time is in addition to the 1–3 week production period.

·        Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on your location and Australia Post service performance.

Insurance Option

Flash1A offers optional parcel insurance through Australia Post at checkout.

• We strongly recommend selecting insurance for all orders over $500
• Insurance covers loss or damage in transit in accordance with Australia Post terms

Uninsured Parcels 

If insurance is not selected, Flash1A is not responsible for:

• Parcels lost in transit
• Parcels damaged in transit
• Parcels marked as delivered by Australia Post

We will assist you in lodging an enquiry with Australia Post; however, we cannot guarantee compensation for uninsured items.

Insured Parcels – Loss or Damage

For insured shipments:

• Flash1A will lodge a claim with Australia Post on your behalf
• Replacement garments will be remade once the claim has been approved, where applicable

Please note that claims are subject to Australia Post assessment timeframes.

Delivery Issues 

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at the time of ordering.

Flash1A is not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by:

• Incorrect or incomplete addresses
• Uncollected parcels from Australia Post outlets
• Redirection requests made after dispatch

Additional shipping charges may apply for parcels returned to us and re-sent.

International Shipping

International orders may be subject to:

• Customs duties
• Taxes
• Import fees

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in Flash1A pricing or shipping costs.

Delivery timeframes vary by destination and customs processing.

Order Tracking

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Lost or Damaged Parcels (Insured)

For insured parcels:

• Flash1A will lodge a claim with Australia Post on your behalf
• Replacement garments will be remade once the claim is approved, where applicable

 Returns and Exchanges 

Due to the made-to-order nature of our garments, we do not offer refunds for change of mind.

Exchanges

If the size is incorrect, we may offer an exchange if:

• You contact us within 7 days of delivery
• The garment is unworn, unwashed, and in original condition
• Free from perfume, deodorant, makeup, and pet hair

Items that do not meet these conditions may be returned to the customer.

Return Process 

To request an exchange or report a fault:

1. Email thatsaflash1a@gmail.com
2. Include your order number and reason for return
3. Wait for return approval before sending your item

Unauthorised returns may not be accepted.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Processing Time

Once your return is received and approved:

• Exchanges will be placed into the production queue
• Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for the replacement garment to be knitted 

Faulty Items

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a garment:

• Has a major fault
• Is not as described
• Is not of acceptable quality

If you believe your item is faulty:

• Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order
• Provide your order number and clear photos of the issue

If the item is confirmed as faulty, Flash1A will offer:

• A repair,
• A replacement, or
• A refund

as required under Australian Consumer Law.

Flash1A will cover return shipping costs for confirmed faulty items.

Garment Care

Flash1A garments are made from 100% merino wool and require proper care.

We recommend:

• Gentle hand wash in luke warm water or at 40 degrees Celsius or approved wool cycle using approved wool detergent
• Do not wash in hot water
• Dry flat in shade
• Do not tumble dry

Flash1A is not responsible for damage caused by incorrect care.

Flash1A – Size Guide

Flash1A garments are knitted to order, so choosing the correct size is important.
We recommend using your body measurements rather than relying on your usual retail size.

Fit Tip

All Flash1A’s sizing charts are measured flat in centimetres.

This means get a top out of your cupboard that is the perfect fit, lay it flat on the floor, bench or table and measure the below mentioned areas just on the one side. That is the measurements you will need to find your closest preferred size.

How to Measure

Use a soft tape measure and measure over lightweight clothing.

 Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of your bust/chest.

 Waist Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline.

 Hips Measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Garment Length Measure from the top of the shoulder down to your desired length.

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a relaxed knit fit.

Custom Orders

Custom or personalised garments are:

• Final sale
• Not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty under Australian Consumer Law

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including:

• Designs
• Knit patterns
• Branding
• Photography
• Artworks

remains the property of Flash1A and may not be reproduced without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flash1A is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential loss
• Delays outside our control
• Misuse or incorrect care of garments

Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
